Why get involved?

The Australian Experiential Learning Centre (AELC) works in partnership with employers to develop opportunities for motivated graduates and young people from all corners of the globe.

The centre runs a program called Advantage which is designed to provide students enrolled in any discipline the opportunity to develop their personal and professional competencies and skills through their involvement in social and business enterprises and company pre-graduate programs.

Companies and businesses can now access young motivated students to work in monitored placements and project internships for any part of the business for one low cost membership.

Students gain experience and employers can assess a students fit into the organisational culture. This is a win/win situation for all.

As part of this service we work with companies to develop relevant programs that will benefit both the students and the organisations. The rewards are of great value and include:

  • Access to the young talent available across all disciplines and Australian education institutions
  • Positioning your organisation as an employer of choice for graduates
  • Establishment of projects that may help with non core but essential development projects
  • Developing mentoring capabilities in staff

Because all participants must ‘Pay Forward’ the knowledge they have gained through Advantage to others, we have an effective Alumni in countries all over the world. Advantage graduates are ethical, motivated, job prepared and are ready and willing to give back to their local and global communities.
